What's Scorcher?

The Scorcher is OURS. It is YOUNG and UNCOMPROMISING in it’s voice, while being INFLUENTIAL and UNISEXY. The Scorcher is the more serious side to Scorch. We like to call it our free maga-paper as it’s a hybrid between a newspaper and magazine, printed on hi brite paper with a size of 10” x 12”. With the newspaper we delve deeper into the issues that affect, effect, matter or are just simply important to us. By us, we again refer to the 19-35 yr old middle to upper income bracket. The Scorcher has a weekly wrap up which gives the reader a look at all the news that occurred for the week in a nutshell. We also feature a new story each week that deals with THE real issue and never from a reporting slant but rather from the angle no one dares to try. The Scorcher is hosts a wide variety of writers that are committed to bringing the truth of a story as well as uncovering the facts. The entire paper however is not wholly news populated, we have the Reviews page which reviews EVERYTHING from clubs to concerts to food to fashion never omitting music and fashion. Page 6 of The Scorcher is dedicated to the person(s) who really blew our minds with their fashion sense and is usually a very competitive page for those that would love to be “Page Sixed”. Other sections include the 5 in 5 where we interview a new person weekly and we have the famous WTF page, which gives you that laugh that you would NEVER expect from a newspaper. At present, The Scorcher is printed fortnightly.
