Ouch, Tempo gets dropped from flow, (thats sucks) well, not really.
Cable TV provider Flow is dropping the Tempo channel after five years because of low viewership ratings.
From April 1, (could be a April fool's joke) Tempo will be removed from its basic line up and in its place the company will launch a new sports channel called ’WI Sports’.
Even the Director of sales for Flow Rhea Yaw Ching had to comment on how poor Tempo's ratings had become after five years. She said "viewership data identified Tempo as ranking ’very low’ among customers against other local and international channels with similar programming and on overall ratings performance".
"Flow supports the local music industry as evidenced by the fact that Synergy was first launched as a cable-only channel before securing an over-the-air concession, Yaw Ching said.
She also went on to say ’Five years ago we gave Tempo the most preferential real estate possible-basic carriage- based on the anticipated content and response from our customers. We feel at this point it is more important to support networks that have proven high viewership statistics and are of higher value to local viewers.’
Im sure Mr Tempo will not be pleased
