Remember the kid you never drink alco, and everyone never liked him/her because we thought that they were lame because they never surcumed to peer pressure, and we used to avoid them like they have H1N1? so if you don't drink, you are finally the cool kid, enjoy your newfound popularity.
Oh boy!, NO more drinking and driving, Don't act like i'm the only one who used to take a chance (a stupid one) but a chance all the same, by sipping and swerving, even if its two beers, still being under the influence sucks. But all those chances are coming to an end , because on Monday 16th of November breathalyzers are taking effect, but thats not the scary part.. The scary part is the penalties, which means if you get caught for the first time with alco on your breath, you have to pay $8000 but you do have a choice not to pay , all you have to do is go to jail for 3yrs, fack! 3yrs? wtf? Is it a necessity ? yes it is, cuz road fatalities are really getting out of hand,I bet you never do it again tho.. bet... now moving on to if you got caught a second time .. that means you have a choice once again, this time between $15,000 and 5yrs... faaaack!, ppl getting less time on a gun charge. The third time, they didn't even say how much fine or jail time, all they said was, "No more Permit", yip you would be revoked of all driving privileges.
And Xmas and Carnival season coming up? wow, ppl gonna be under pressure, police are going to be outside the club stalking drivers, just waiting for them to bounce starters.
So go ahead an call that lame friend that you have, I'm sure they would love to hear from you.
After thought : Looks like you gonna have to call your moms to drop you to the club, like long time, and you still begging her not to pull up directly in front of the club, because I personally can't remember if i have any friends who don't drink.

After years of waiting, of promises, of carnage on the roads, and of public frustration, it is finally hereWorks Minister Colm Imbert announced yesterday that President George Maxwell Richards would proclaim the act which will allow the use of the breathalyzer in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday.
For drinking and driving, the penalty for a first offense under the new law is $8,000 or imprisonment for three years. A second offense results in a $15,000 fine or imprisonment for five years, and a third offense leads to permanent disqualification from holding or obtaining a driver’s permit.
The Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Amendment Act, which allowed for the use of a breathalyzer, was first passed under the United National Congress administration but was never implemented. The last People’s National Movement administration drafted a new bill in 2006. It was assented to on June 26, 2007, but there was a proclamation clause and the bill did not come into effect.
